A Gas Roots Flow Meter (also called a Roots Gas Flow Meter, Rotary Gas Flow Meter, or Gas Roots Meter) is a positive displacement measurement instrument that uses two synchronized, gear-driven roots wheels to measure the volume of non-corrosive gases passing through a pipeline. As the wheels rotate, each rotation displaces a fixed, known volume of gas.
